Can A King Kill A Queen In Chess

The king can take the queen if the queen moves right next to him and has no pieces supporting her. Of course, there would be no reason for the queen to do this unless it's a crazy sacrifice. The king can't get to the queen on his own, though, because the queen controls all the squares needed for the king to move. Yes, a king can kill a queen in chess as long as doing that doesn’t put the king in check.
