A Puddle Of Water Evaporates Exothermic Or Endothermic

I always thought the evaporation of water to be endothermic rather than exothermic. Water as we all know evaporates, which would straightaway take to the endothermic mode. However, i do not know if it is exothermic because many conspiracy medical scientists still claim that there is no heat produced during the evaporation if water who knows? T is an endothermic process.
